In a city plagued by police allegations of abuse of force, a Chicago official shot dead a male college student and a five-year-old mother early Saturday, both black, police later said the woman\'s death was unexpected and tragic.
A few hours later, the police shot another person in a separate location.
\"The police met a fighting subject that resulted in the release of the officer\'s weapons, resulting in two deaths,\" the police department said in a statement . \".
A 55-year-old woman was \"accidentally hit and unfortunately killed,\" the report said, adding, \"The Department expresses its deepest condolences to the families and friends of the victims.
Independent Police censors are investigating the shooting, the report said.

The largest city was under federal civil rights investigation for the use of lethal force and official discipline.
A recent video released showed a white official shooting dead a black teenager on 2014, sparking protests that activists called on Mayor Ram Emanuel to resign.
The deadly shooting took place near the West End of Garfield Park.
The Cook County Forensic Office identified the dead as 19-year-old Betty Jones and kuntenio Legley.
Jones\'s family said that Legrier, a sophomore at Northern Illinois University, went home for Christmas and visited his father, the landlord of the two.

The family said police received a phone call after Legrier threatened his father with a metal baseball bat.

According to her cousin Evelyn Glover, the floor apartment was shot out by the door.

Relatives, including the children of 10-year-old grandmother Betty Jones, were crying and hugging each other in the building.
