When my companion and I approached Liberé Tapas for dinner, I was surprised by the size of the restaurant.
It looks like a cabin from the outside.
The restaurant dates back to the railway apartment style and has three different sections.
In the front room, the light yellow transparent curtains gently swing in the air stirred by ceiling fans.
Think about an indoor porch in the South.
The room in the middle has a more formal feeling, the table is far away from the window and more secluded.
The room at the back is basically a bar.
Table and comfortable stool, plus real bar, a small wooden pile with wine glasses hanging from the top.
The original art on the wall is a little more modern than the rest of the restaurant.
We asked to sit in the bar area.
Our waiter, the chef\'s cousin, was surprised, but she was happy to bring us over and gave us the chance to choose the table.
It\'s a weekday evening, Dundas summer, so the place is not quite full.
When we arrived, a four-man left with two children;
I heard the waiter\'s comment on the chef through the salon
The kids eat as many kitchen style doors as adults. The reason?
The snack menu has something for everyone: about 20 options, many of which attract children, especially if they like seafood.
We read the menu carefully after deciding on the drinks on the cocktail menu.
Our server came back with our order after a small mess meeting in the bar.
St of my companion
Germaine Sparkle is a mixture of vodka, apples, elder wood flowers and soda. it tastes a bit like direct apple juice. at the end, elder wood flowers can\'t be seen at all.
My Blueberry tonic is very refreshing and delicious.
If you don\'t mind big chunks of blueberries while drinking blueberries, that would be great.
There were burgers and burrito on the menu, but we chose snacks.
We ordered six and a half races. or portions —
Can order half or all of everything)
Left enough space for dessert.
The first ones arrived with lobster and Spanish sausage and a lentil salad.
Smoked red pepper White Roll (butter sauce)
On arancini, a rich and spicy light-colored coating was added to excite the taste buds.
The fine bread crumbs coating is light, but the rice inside is overcooked.
Nice lentils salad.
It\'s more of a green salad with lentils added with sesame and Mediterranean goat cheese, grilled red peppers, red onions and parsley.
The lemon in the sauce could have been a little more confident, but even so it was delicious.
Then there are mushrooms and chicken-chorizo slider.
Baked very light, tostada\'s sour dough bread is the perfect base for mushrooms, which in turn combines the sweetness of onion jam with the grass fragrance of onion seeds sprouting.
I love the combination of chicken and sausage in the slider.
Spicy meat, with red pepper aioli, balanced with the bitter taste of the Sesame dish, very delicious.
My companion said that there are so many sliders that are made of bread that is too high or too wide, but this homemade sour dough version is correct.
In a restaurant that is very affected by Spain.
Flamenco music played in the background all night)
I had to try the salt cod, which is the staple food there.
Croquettes did not hit the mark like the dishes described above.
Too salty;
However, I believe they can be improved by additional soaking and rinsing of cod.
On the other hand, the corn fritters are well seasoned.
It was filled with fresh corn, thick and crisp.
They were paired with fresh and spicy guashilo yogurt.
Since our waiter told us that desserts don\'t always appear on the menu, we feel lucky when there are blueberry and raspberry sorbet.
It\'s more of a mix of sorbet and granita, not too smooth and not too crispy, but it\'s sour and refreshing.
The waiter told us that only a little sugar was used to enhance the taste of the berries.
When we were eating, the chef quickly went downstairs through the room.
He was as young as our server and they told us they were looking for a new location to walk moreby traffic.
I agree, it feels like this is a restaurant waiting to be found in a bigger way.
Before that, though, I look forward to going back to dinner again or having a good time.
After work, the beer and snacks will be great.
