Just as I thought I was lost, a low square tower and a weathervane peeped over the green plants. St.
Mary\'s Church in Kempley, Gloucester, West England is a hidden gem.
I realized what was hidden.
The gem I am about to find.
I pushed the door open and the first thing I noticed was how cool it was inside. Then I freeze.
But it has nothing to do with temperature.
A large circular pattern is drawn on the bare stone wall.
It was so unexpected that I wanted to know if it was graffiti.
Then I saw another design in chancel and then another one, more, on my right.
It is not clear what they are: red, och and yellow are muted and the paint fades.
Many paintings decorate the old chapel, only 30 steps from the altar to the back wall of the tower, about 900.
Experts from the British College of Art in kotaurd say they are one of the most complete and well-preserved medieval murals in northern Europe.

As I walked around, aware of the echo on the stone wall, I began to understand what I had seen: Biblical scenes, saints, apostles, Christ, and revelation.
They have lived so long, and they are lucky. it\'s amazing.
